First a breif story, Born at 24 weeks, weighing just 1 lb 4 oz and 11 3/4 inches, Named by her Birth mom "Heaven Lee Angel", was not really expected to live. Some time after birth she had seziers and a brain bleed, Which cause her to have Cerebal Palsy, she is legaly blind, developing Scolisois, and has what is know as Failure to Thrive", just basicly means she does not devlope like a normal baby.
Mom (in my opion) neglected this baby very badly. She never really got the treatment she needed or deserved. was left in a baby carrier, and also went at least 2 days with no milk!
My saga : Feburary 15, 2009 went to pick up who has since became Madison Kate Rice. She was staying with her Aunt Shauna. Madison was in filthy stained clothes. Most everything I recived was nasty, dirty. I washed what lil was good, and went to Babies R Us the next day.
ECI came to eveluate Madison for PT/OT and vision services.
Feburary 24th our first appointment at Texas Childrens, getting everything evaluated, accessed, and addressed. She weighs 12.9 and is 25 inches long. Madison is at a 3 month level devlopmently. I am scared yet hopeful what her future has in store.
March 17,2009
Madison has gained 8 oz is settling in really well as I am to her and her routine. On March 12 she rolled over twice, I did not see her, but was on her back one second and on her tummy the next.

Madison now weighs 17.3 and is 31 Inches long. we got the stander, Madison is not crazy about it. She has gotten very active and hold links and other toys about the same size.

August 9 2010
I have not posted in some time. Madison was very sick in Jan and Feb, we since figured out she has reflux. She has also had Botox injections in her legs to help her muscles not be so contracted, and that has really helped.
Also, the girls are officially adopted with no hassles and all on Madison's 3rd birthday!
Madison has learned to sign the word "more" and loves songs like "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Itsy Bitsy Spider". She also sat leaned over a bucket on her own (her head was in the bucket, she was not sitting up straight.. but was sitting!)
